This is the sketch I drew and painted after lunch today. It is a woman equestrian competing for a prize. However, they usualy match their horse's blanket to their riding habit and in this case, I changed the color a bit but kept it coordinating with the riding habit. I just did that because I wanted too. This sketch is watercolor and inktense on 11 x 14 paper in my sketch book. I signed it; as usual when I complete it. It is the horse show time of year and every year I try again to paint the perfect horse and rider but so far, I have not achieved perfection in that goal. But I have sketched and also painted into oils, horses and riders more than once. I put a "batch" of them on my blog at https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com and that series would be in the archives of that blog now.
This is my hand holding a rose that was blowing around in the wind, and I photograph roses every year to use as reference to paint from, and just because I love flowers. Flower shows occur this time of year also.

I photograph with a variety of cameras and also cameras on cell phones, so i try to match my copyright with the camera I used for a particular post but that is not a hard and fast rule and it's not possible if I used more than one camera for a particular post.
