Country life sketches created by Gloria Poole,RN,artist of Missouri and Georgia

This is watercolor sketch and the pencil drawing is the 3rd photo I put here, of art I created last evening and this morning. I am purposely drawing cows a few time to make the point that cows are very much wanted in most parts of the world. Also, it says in Leviticus health laws in Bible that eating beef is allowed. In Missouri and many states there are Cattleman's Association of those who raise herds of cattle for beef and milk. I also put a sketch of "king" milk, which in my professional opinion as Registered Nurse, is the BEST liquid besides potable [pure] water that anyone could drink. Also, my own daddy in Georgia [who died in Dec 2004] had cattle so I know some about them. I remember that he tried to teach me how to milk a cow when I was about age 5 and I was so afraid of the cow then that years later [last night] I could not remember what the cow's hooves looked like! I still remember sitting on that little stool at the cow's udder and looking up at the cow that looked to me like a behemoth and my daddy saying 'if your pinch the cow, she will kick you". Well. That did it for me. There was NO way I was going to touch that cow. My daddy was furious and said "go in the house before you scare the cow! [because I was about to be wailing.] "

Milk is good for you. It is calcium which builds bones and is essential to healthy hearts.

This is drawing of milk which I was trying to make appear as if it was sitting in a field like a giant big as a house logo of perhaps a "cottage" industry that sells milk from its own cows to the locals.

I add some of my photos and art I created to this blog intermittently, so I add some photos and symbols of me below. Also, remember that all telehones associated with this blog and its underlying account and indeed all blogs I own, began, registered and continue and the telephones and or numbers associated with them belong to me and are in my apt in Missouri. Some are landline phones and some are cell phones and some are the "follow me" phones that I can forward to any phone I have with me. However, I create art in my own apt in Missouri and it is not a high pressure situation as I create it at my leisure, using my own "studio " areas of my apt and my own supplies I buy and I decide what I want to create. In other words, I have NEVER had a "boss" in my so-called career as an artist. My actual career was working as Registered Nurse for 26 years before I suffered though much trauma caused to me on purpose in July 2006 by then-husband [male DBP] in Aurora, CO; and then again in July 2011 when someone tried to run me down in intersection here in Missouri as I walked about at 10 am one day. I cannot work in nursing now because of concussions which affect my thinking but I can paint, sketch and draw and I do that often. In fact, I draw, sketch, paint, blog, tweet almost every day and post it IF and when I want too. In other words, I do not usually feel any sense of urgency to answer my phones especially if I am in the middle of making art and the phone distracts me. So, if I do not answer my phone immediately it does not mean anything except that I am either painting, or napping [creating is exhausting at times] and or on walkabout and don't consider it urgent to stop and find phones in my pocketbook. I MOVED to Missouri in Oct 2009 but I own some land in the state of Georgia which my mother left to me in her will, and I was born in state of Georgia in USA.

This is a digital ink notice I created of my real name, and some designations that describe me.

This is a selfie of me in yr 2008 when I lived in zip code 80203 as I stood before the oil painting I had just completed that I named "the schloss" because I painted it by referring to a postcard of a castle in Germany that my daughter Leigh mailed to me when she visited Germany when she was in Peace Corps. I am posting it here today, because it is in some of my online accounts and it has caused confusion, because I had never posted it publicly { I don't think}. So, just to clarify that yes, this is me, and yes, I look sorta red AT TIMES especially if I have recently walked about at noon and gotten lots of sun. Sometimes when I am photographing, I am in the direct sunlight for 3-4 hours and I soak up the sun. Usually the redness turns to tan in a few days, but if I happen to make a selfie the same day I walked about for few hours then I look very red. I am a white woman and I am posting below another selfie that does not look so red.

This is my selfie in spring 2014 and I look very much the same except my hair is longer. I still put it in a pony-tail when I am walking about painting or drawing sketches to prevent hair from getting in my eyes or into paints or inks.

This is one of my flag photos I photographed to remind all I am U S citizen born in state of Georgia and have all Constitutional protections including all components of the first amendment.

This is one of my christian cross necklaces to remind all that this is a Christian website and that I am "born again" Christian, which means I made a conscious deliberate choice long ago to follow JESUS and to accept HIM as my Saviour and to be born spiritually again into a new way of life by being baptized.
