"The Leonine life" sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri & Georgia on 12-March-2014.    Leonine means "strong, fierce, majestic" according to dictionary. 

For those of you who have no education in health professions, the black graphic at bottom is a drawn electrocardiagram to diagram the resting phase, the spark from the SA node  and then the  contraction of the left ventricle of the heart. In other words, a heartbeat as shown on paper according to the electrical activity of a beating heart.  The star at head indicates a living, thinking brain. 

This is one of two sketches I drew and painted today.  And I put the one I drew and painted yesterday and signed and named "Chincoteague wild horses' on my blog at https://gloriapoole.blogspot.com.  You can see my photos of me on the about me page of that blog. I have 2 sketches I drew, painted, signed since this past weekend yet to upload, so might do that later.

I drew and painted this sketch today and it's not perfect I know. I am trying to learn how t paint musical instruments. For another example of my effort to learn to draw and paint musical instruments, see another blog of mine at: https://real-women-have-babies.blogspot.com.  I am drawing almost every day, trying to learn skills enough to draw and paint complicated, elaborate paintings. In the real women have babies sketch I did not draw in fake people as I did on this sketch. So this was effort to combine inanimate objects with [not real] people. In this photo that I photographed on my easel with paintings and wall in background, I realize the saxaphone doesn't look very realistic. It's a redo!

This is a mixed media sketch of graphite, watercolors [the drum set] and acrylics. I made up the name to put it on the "wall" of the set on a pretend stage. These are NOT real people and there is no such band as "Mack and Sax" or "mack n Sax". Also, fyi, I created an entirely new log to put series of paintings and or sketches that I create on. I, Gloria Poole, currently residing in Missouri but born in the state of Georgia, put four more of the paintings I painted and signed on this blog, that I used much red paint to paint. I also put art I created with red paint on 3 other blogs of mine in past 2 days to create a "mini-exhibit" of the color RED in art I created.  I sign my name merely as Gloria in script [my hand-writing] and with paint on what I consider a painting, and often as Gloria Poole on some sketches that are quicker, less permanent [on paper instead of canvas] and when they are preliminary effort to create a painting in the same theme; or sometimes absent-mindedly since it is my real name.

Sketch for lighthouse series of mixed media of first drawn by me with watercolor pencils, then partially repainted by me Gloria Poole in acrylics; and signed by me [twice  --after re-do].

This sketch is one of a lighthouse on the northernmost border of the U S. I drew and then painted a series of lighthouses in yr 2007 and so, this would be the 4th time I have drawn and then painted a lighthouse. Public Notice that I am planning to stop using tumblr blog of mine  and retreive my intellectual property from them because of the changes in their terms and conditions; and to notify them publicly as I also did privately that I do NOT transfer the copyrights of the art I created and put on my tumblr before the terms and conditions were changed recently.
